Techcofounder is an anonymous directory of software engineers and developers who are interested in working on a startup or side project. Entrepreneurs who need engineering help may contact users via an aliased email listed on each profile.
What's the difference between profiles and ads?
Profiles are reserved for technical users. Ads can be created by anyone.
Why do I have to pay for ads when technical profiles are free?
The original goal of the site was to create a directory of "startup-ready" engineers who were open to being contacted about new opportunities. Over the past several months, this directory has proven to hold immense value among entrepreneurs who have an idea or prototype but need more engineering horsepower. However, we found more and more users submitting non-technical profiles, posting job openings, and co-founder wanted ads. In the spirit of maintaining a "clean" technical directory, those profiles were deactivated. This "post an ad" feature is a direct response to requests to support these new ad types while continuing to honor our original goal. Technical profiles remain free because they create the site's core value that is mutually shared within our community of entrepreneurs. Ads purchased here will never expire until you tell us to take it down.
How do I edit my profile or ad?
When you first created your profile or ad we sent you a confirmation email containing a link to edit your profile or ad. If you can't find that email just contact us and we'll send it to you again.
How long do profiles and ads stay active?
Profiles and ads have no expiration date.
How do I deactivate my profile or ad?
Just contact us and we'll take it down for you.
